Q: What is a one word description of the state of our country today?

A: A word to describe the state of our country is confused.  We contradict things by the things we use.  For instance, the motto, In God We Trust, but then there is the debate about why we should not use it.  We can go to war at age 18 but we can’t rent a car until we’re 21; it doesn’t make any sense at all.

Q: What is your favorite color and why?

A: Multiple colors because that describes my personality.  I want to change it up and never be the same, in a good way.  Bright colors make me happy.

Q: If you could change one thing in your life, what would that be?

A: I wouldn’t change anything because then I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

Dear Ash,

...I just wanted to keep you updated on all my great accomplishments since i have been here in Charlotte. First of all, I LOVE IT!!! This place is amazing.  I haven't seen much of the city, but what I see, I like.

I work in the career delevolpment office 3days a week. In there I get to meet a lot of falculty and staff... also big companies that come in. Today I got to meet recruiters who wanted jwu students to work for them long and short-term. Places like H&R Block, Double Tree, The Finish Line, Duke Mansion, La Tea Da, Carowinds, Barabozine, Holiday Inn and many more that i cant think of right now. I got to work at the part-time job fair today and network while being there!! Also yesturday I went to the club fair  and looked into joining Cheer, Minorities About Business (MAB), DECA, Fashion Society, Toastmasters and Student Gov... I am very interested in all of these.

My professors are amazing. They really want to help the students and want us to pass... that says a lot about a professor. Tey say we aren't paying to go to a private school for no reason. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly.

My class schedule is pretty good. I take first year seminar - bascially just helping us adjust and learn more about the school and city, Principles of Management, Foundations of Business and English. My english teacher is from High Point!!

I've meet soo many people from across the world and a select few from here. I love this place. Also my teacher helped me with my resume..I helped her do a presentation the other day..work load pretty good i have to remember time management although it seems I'm doing a lot I have tons of time on my hands..soo I have to be careful.

Iim considering a second job beccause i NEED to be busy; it's the key to success. I don't ever wanna get slack.

I speak to everyone I see here beccause ya never kno who is holding that 6-figure job that i want!!

Well thought I'd keep ya updated. I'll probably foward this to the others just so they know I'm good!!!

LOVE YOU ALL. Thanks for everything you've done to get me here. I truly thank all of the Dustins GreenHouse crew for allowing me to share my life with others.

Love ya. Email me anytime, I check it about 20 times a day!
